When Thinvent was founded in 2007, our vision was to be a leader in embedded hardware and Linux-based solutions. Today, we deliver a broad range of information technology solutions to industries as varied as transport, government, manufacturing, education and banking.

Thinvent builds rugged, reliable, hassle-free computers designed to last longer than the average desktop or laptop, even in the heat, dust and erratic power conditions of India and Africa. We serve large organisations in sectors such as railways, BFSI, and logistics. Startups and educational institutions also use our computers. Over the years, many customers have placed repeat orders with us, and we are the exclusive or primary IT hardware vendor to many of them. This reflects the trust our customers place in us.

While much of our revenue comes from the B2B segment, we also have a strong presence in the consumer segment. Many Indian educational institutions use the Thinvent Micro 5, a quad-core 1.5 GHz computer with 2 gigabytes of memory and wireless, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity. It supports Zoom and Google Meet, and lets students attend classes, conduct online research and complete assignments.

Our products have frequently been bestsellers on Amazon. We support home and small business customers across India through our network of dealers and service partners.

We work hard to reduce the environmental impact of our computers. We replace a typical 10-kilogram computer that consumes 50 watts of power and depends on a global supply chain with a 200-gram, 5-watt computer built from components sourced from about thirty suppliers across Delhi/NCR, with crucial support from our partners in Taiwan. We choose the materials in those 200 grams carefully to minimise their environmental impact, and we recycle them at the end of the computer’s life.
