Thin Client for ATVM

Thinvent has developed rugged hardware and stable Linux-based firmware for Automatic Ticket Vending Machines. The equipment is built for heavy use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This thin client supports the following:

  • The Indian Railways ticketing application and back end.

  • Integration of smart card readers with ATVM thin clients for smart card access.

  • Sybase ASA10 or higher.

  • TCP/IP with DNS and DHCP support.

  • Printing support with Hindi and English as default, and provision to support other regional languages in future.

  • Remote monitoring and remote deployment of patches, firmware and updates for sub-systems.

  • Sybase ASA10 or higher.

  • High-performance hardware, with a 2.4 GHz dual-core Intel processor, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, and two 8 GB SATA flash drives, providing twice the RAM and four times the flash memory specified in the Railways requirements.

  • Runs Thinvent's secure Thinux Embedded Linux operating system, which has a small footprint.
