Thin PC

Remote Desktop is a technology that allows a local computer to connect to and control a remote PC over a network or the Internet. It is done through a Remote Desktop Service (RDS) or a terminal service that uses Microsoft's proprietary Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

A thin client computer, or thin client, can replace a desktop PC. It provides the functionality of a desktop PC without the high cost of purchase and maintenance.

You can use a thin client in many ways. First, you can connect a thin client to your existing desktop or laptop computer. Your computer is probably already connected to a modem or router for Internet access. Purchase one of our Micro thin clients and connect it to the same router, modem or switch with an Ethernet cable. The thin client then connects to your PC over RDP, and you can work on both your PC and your thin client at the same time. You can connect several thin clients to your computer in this manner. Thin clients are a low-cost, effective way to let 5 to 10 or more people share one desktop computer.
