What Is a 14th Generation Computer?
A 14th generation computer is a system built on a 14th generation Intel processor. The processors in the Thinvent range use the Intel Core 5 120U and the Intel Core Ultra 5 125U. Both are 14th generation parts with 10 or 12 cores, a maximum frequency of up to 5.0 GHz or 4.3 GHz, and 12 MB of cache. Each Thinvent product in this range uses one of these two processors.

Several models include a Dual LAN interface. The IPC5 includes Quad DB9 serial ports for connecting industrial equipment. Models come with a choice of Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT Value, Ubuntu Linux or DOS. Dual Band WiFi is available on some models.
Choosing a Configuration
Select the processor first. The Core 5 120U has the highest maximum frequency in this range at 5.0 GHz. The Core Ultra 5 125U has 12 cores. Then choose memory and storage based on the workload. Choose 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM for multitasking and 512 GB or 1 TB of SSD for larger data sets.
