What is a 6th Generation PC?
A 6th generation PC is a computer built on Intel's sixth generation of Core processors, code-named Skylake, released in 2015. The term refers to the processor generation. It does not describe a fixed form factor or a specific operating system. Sixth generation Intel Core processors use a different architecture from the processors in the Thinvent Neo S range, so a 6th generation PC is not a product that the Thinvent range includes.
The Thinvent Neo S thin client uses the Intel Celeron J1900, a 7th generation Intel processor in the Celeron series. It has 4 cores, a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz and 2 MB of cache. Each unit includes 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. It runs on a 19V 1.3A adapter.

Use Cases
The Neo S suits kiosks, point-of-sale stations, digital signage, factory displays and office desktops that connect to a central server. Because the data is stored on the server, each thin client needs only a small amount of local storage and memory.
