Does the Thinvent range include the Intel Atom X7?
The Thinvent range does not include the Intel Atom X7. The Atom X7 is a line of ultra-low-voltage processors from Intel. Intel designed the Atom line to reduce power consumption and heat compared with the Intel Core series. Intel Atom processors are used mainly in netbooks, nettops, embedded systems, mobile internet devices and phones.
Intel Atom processor overview
Intel Atom processors use the IA-32 and x86-64 instruction sets. This means they run standard x86 software. The Atom line targets low-power devices, where power draw and heat output matter more than peak performance. Common applications include health care equipment, robotics and compact embedded hardware.
Intel's Atom x7 model names include the x7-Z8700 (2 MB cache, up to 2.40 GHz), the x7-Z8750 (2 MB cache, up to 2.56 GHz) and the x7-E3950. Intel publishes full specifications for each model on its product pages.
