The Intel Core i5 is a mid-range processor line. Intel has sold it in desktop and mobile products since 2009. Thinvent builds Core i5 systems in industrial PCs, mini PCs and panel PCs, with 12th, 13th and 14th generation processors.
Intel's Core i5 range covers several generations. Each generation has its own microarchitecture and model numbers. The model number shows the generation: for example, the 1240P is a 12th generation part, the 1335U is 13th generation, and the 120U is 14th generation.

Choosing a Core i5 System
Choose the model by the form factor and the software you run. The IPC5 suits factory and control work. The Aero Mini PC suits space-limited offices and kiosks. The 15" Panel PC suits operator interfaces where a touchscreen is needed. Memory options run from 16 GB to 32 GB, and storage from 512 GB to 1 TB SSD. Several configurations include Dual Band WiFi or Dual LAN, while others have no WiFi.
