What is a mini PC?
A mini PC is a complete desktop computer in a small chassis. It includes a processor, memory, storage, and ports for displays, peripherals, and networking. Mini PCs take up far less desk or rack space than a tower PC, and they use less power. They suit office work, digital signage, kiosks, point-of-sale systems, edge computing, and embedded control.
Processor and memory options
Thinvent mini PCs use processors from Intel, AMD, and ARM. Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors with 12th and 13th generation designs provide 6 to 10 cores and boost frequencies up to 4.7 GHz. Intel Core Ultra 5 processors with 14th generation designs provide 12 cores. AMD Ryzen 5 7430U processors provide 6 cores and boost to 4.3 GHz. The ARM Cortex A55 processor in the Micro 6 Pro has 4 cores and runs at up to 1.9 GHz for low-power embedded work. The Intel Celeron N5095A in the Treo mini PC has 4 cores for entry-level tasks.
Memory ranges from 4 GB to 16 GB. Models with 16 GB DDR4 or DDR5 suit multitasking and business applications. Storage uses SSDs from 128 GB to 512 GB, or 32 GB eMMC on the embedded model.
