What is a 6th Generation CPU?
A 6th generation CPU is an Intel processor from the Skylake family, released in 2015. Intel marks each processor family by a generation number. The 6th generation covers Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, along with Pentium and Celeron processors built on the same design.
The Thinvent range does not include a 6th generation processor. Every product in the Neo S series uses the Intel Celeron J1900, which is a 7th generation part in Intel's naming. Intel lists the J1900 under its Bay Trail platform. The range does not use Core i3, i5 or i7 processors.
