An industrial PC (IPC) is a computing platform engineered for continuous operation in environments where a standard office desktop or consumer mini PC would quickly fail. What Defines an Industrial PC

The most important design decision in an IPC is thermal management. Choosing Between a Mini PC, Industrial PC, Thin Client and All-in-One

The right form factor depends on where the machine lives and who operates it. An industrial PC is the correct choice when the unit sits inside a cabinet or on a machine and must survive heat, dust and vibration. A mini PC suits space-constrained commercial installations such as digital signage or a small office server. A thin client is the right answer when data and applications live on a central server and the desktop only needs to render a session. An all-in-one PC combines the computer and display in one panel, which is common for operator stations and point-of-sale terminals.
