What Is a Copilot+ PC?
Copilot+ PCs are Windows 11 PCs with hardware for advanced AI features. Microsoft staged these features for rollout with Windows 11 24H2. All Copilot+ PCs run Windows 11. Not all Windows 11 PCs are Copilot+ PCs.
The Copilot+ requirements apply only to systems that need the full Copilot+ feature set. Everyday Windows 11 use, including productivity, browsing and legacy app support, runs on existing supported hardware. A mini PC does not need Copilot+ hardware for these tasks.
Copilot+ Hardware Requirements
Microsoft sets a 40+ TOPS neural processing unit (NPU) as the key requirement for Copilot+ PCs. The NPU runs AI features such as Windows Recall and Live Captions with translation. The processors in the Thinvent range listed on this page are Intel Core, Intel Celeron and AMD Ryzen models. The Thinvent range does not include an ARM-based Copilot+ processor.

Choosing a Thinvent Mini PC
For Windows 11 Pro desktop work, the Aero Mini PC models with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors give 10 cores and 16 GB of RAM. The Treo Mini PC with AMD Ryzen 5 7430U gives 6 cores, 16 MB cache and 16 GB of RAM. For embedded Linux projects, the Micro 6 Pro Mini PC runs Thinux Embedded Linux.
Thinvent Mini PCs for Windows 11 and Copilot Use
Thinvent has mini PCs with Intel Core, Intel Celeron, AMD Ryzen and ARM processors. The Aero Mini PC models run Windows 11 Pro with Intel Core processors. The Treo Mini PC range includes AMD Ryzen 5 7430U models with Windows 11 Pro. Thinvent mini PCs do not list NPU specifications on this page. Buyers who need Copilot+ features should check the NPU rating of a specific model before buying.
