What is a mini PC?
A mini PC is a small desktop computer built on a compact board and case. It runs a full operating system such as Windows 11 Pro or Ubuntu Linux, and it connects to a monitor, keyboard and mouse like a standard desktop. Mini PCs take up little desk space and suit offices, kiosks, digital signage, point-of-sale and home use.
Thinvent has mini PCs with Intel Core, Intel Celeron, AMD Ryzen and ARM Cortex processors. Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 models use 12th and 13th generation processors, and the Intel Core Ultra 5 model uses a 14th generation processor. The AMD Ryzen 5 7430U model uses a 7000 Series processor. The ARM Cortex A55 model uses a 4-core processor running at up to 1.9 GHz.
Key specifications
Thinvent mini PCs range from 4 GB to 16 GB of memory. Storage is 32 GB eMMC on the ARM model and 128 GB to 512 GB SSD on the Intel and AMD models. Most models use DDR4 memory, and the Core Ultra 5 model uses DDR5. Power adapters range from 5V 2A on the ARM model to 19V 3A on the AMD models.

Some models include Dual Band WiFi, Dual Antenna WiFi or Dual LAN. Others have no WiFi. The Micro 6 Pro includes one HDMI port.
Use cases
Office and business users can choose the Aero models with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors for multitasking and Windows applications. Kiosks, signage and embedded control suit the Micro 6 Pro, which runs Thinux Embedded Linux. Low-cost terminal and light office work suit the Treo model with the Intel N5095A. Development and Linux workloads suit the Aero models with Ubuntu Linux.
