What Is a Next-Gen SBC Mini PC?
A next-gen mini PC is a compact desktop computer built around a modern low-power processor. It has the size of a small box, but it runs full desktop operating systems such as Windows 11 Pro or Ubuntu Linux. It is a different class of device from a single-board computer (SBC). An SBC is a bare circuit board for embedded projects. A mini PC is a finished system that a buyer can connect to a monitor, keyboard and network and use at once.
Thinvent builds mini PCs with Intel Core, Intel Core Ultra, Intel Celeron and AMD Ryzen processors. The range also includes an ARM Cortex-A55 model that runs Thinux embedded Linux. Processor generation, core count, maximum clock speed, cache size and memory set the performance level of each model. The range covers 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel processors and the AMD Ryzen 5 7000 Series.

All Aero and Treo models with Windows or Linux support standard desktop software and multi-tasking. The Micro 6 Pro runs embedded Linux and suits fixed-function and control tasks.
Connectivity and Options
Thinvent has Dual Band WiFi, Dual Antenna WiFi, or no WiFi, depending on the model. Several Aero models include Dual LAN ports for two wired networks. The Micro 6 Pro includes one HDMI output. Power adapters are 12V, 5V or 19V, depending on the model.
