What Is a Mini PC for Desktop Use?
A mini PC is a small desktop computer that fits in the palm of a hand or behind a monitor. It includes a processor, memory, storage and video output in a compact chassis. Mini PCs suit office desks, kiosks, digital signage and other spaces where a full tower is too large.
Thinvent has two mini PC families for desktop use. The Micro 6 Pro uses an ARM Cortex A55 processor with 4 cores, a maximum frequency of 1.9 GHz and 1 MB of cache. It has 4 GB of onboard RAM, 32 GB of eMMC storage and one HDMI output. Dual antenna WiFi is included, and the unit runs Thinux embedded Linux.
The Treo Mini PC uses an Intel Celeron N5095A processor from the 11th generation. It has 4 cores, a maximum frequency of 2.9 GHz and 4 MB of cache. It includes 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage, with a 12V 5A adapter. The Treo runs Windows 11 IoT or Windows 11 Pro, depending on the model. Treo models do not include WiFi.
