What is an OCX mini PC?
"OCX" is not a product line, model or processor that appears in the Thinvent range, and this page does not describe any product by that name. A mini PC is a small desktop computer built on a compact board and housed in a case the size of a book or smaller. It supports the same operating systems and office, networking and display tasks as a full-size desktop, while using less desk space and less power. Buyers typically use mini PCs for digital signage, point of sale, kiosks, office desktops, home servers and light industrial control.
Key specifications to compare
Mini PCs differ mainly in processor, memory, storage and power input. The core count and maximum frequency set the processing speed, the cache size affects how quickly data is reused, and the RAM amount sets how many applications run at once. Use cases
Configurations with 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 4 to 6 cores suit kiosks, signage players and light office work. Models with 16 GB of RAM and 10 to 12 cores suit multitasking, data entry, and general business desktops. The Micro 6 Pro uses an ARM processor with embedded Linux and suits fixed-function devices that need low power and a small footprint. Models with Dual LAN support connections to two networks. Models with a 12V adapter draw less power than models with a 19V adapter.

Thinvent has the mini PC configurations shown above across the Aero, Treo and Micro 6 Pro families. Buyers can choose Intel Core, Intel Celeron, AMD Ryzen or ARM processors, 4 GB to 16 GB of memory, and Windows 11 Pro, Ubuntu Linux or Thinux Embedded Linux.
