Fanless Passive Mini PC for Industrial Use

What Is a Passive Mini PC?

A passive mini PC is a small computer that cools itself without a fan. Heat leaves the case through its metal body, which works as a heat sink. Because there are no moving parts for cooling, the computer runs quietly and has fewer parts that can wear out. This design suits dusty, hot, or enclosed spaces, such as factory floors, kiosks, digital signage, and control cabinets.

Key Specifications

The Thinvent range includes two processor families for passive mini PCs:

  • ARM Cortex-A55 (Thinvent Micro 6 Pro): 4 cores, up to 1.9 GHz, 1 MB cache, 4 GB onboard RAM, 32 GB eMMC storage, dual antenna WiFi, one HDMI output, and Thinux embedded Linux. It runs on a 5V 2A adapter.

  • Intel Celeron N5095A (Thinvent Treo): 4 cores, up to 2.9 GHz, 4 MB cache, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB SSD, and one HDMI output. It runs on a 12V 5A adapter. It is offered with Windows 11 IoT or Windows 11 Pro and has no WiFi.
