Setting Up a Windows 10 Thin Client
A thin client setup with Windows 10 connects a device to a central server, such as Windows Remote Desktop Server, Citrix, or VMware Horizon. The Windows 10 desktop and applications run on that server. The thin client shows the screen and sends keyboard and mouse input back to the server. Setup involves configuring the device to reach the server, then signing in to the hosted desktop.

Three operating system options are available: Windows 11 IoT, Windows 11 Pro, and DOS. Thinux™ Embedded Linux and Ubuntu Linux are also available. Windows 10 is not listed as an operating system option for these models.

Setup Overview
