The Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade is an ultra-compact industrial ARM computer built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). It is a fanless unit with up to 8 GB RAM, up to 32 GB eMMC storage and two Ethernet ports. The Thinvent P series Mini PC is the closest match: it also uses an ARM processor, is fanless, and runs Thinux™ Embedded Linux. The Thinvent P uses the Amlogic S905X3 chip.

Key differences
-
The Thinvent P has the same ARM family and fanless design as the Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade, so it suits fanless ARM deployments.
-
The Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade has a higher RAM maximum, up to 8 GB against 4 GB on the Thinvent P.
-
The Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade lists two Ethernet ports. We could not confirm the Thinvent P's Ethernet port count.
-
The Thinvent P ships with Thinux™ Embedded Linux, a preinstalled operating system. We could not confirm the Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade's operating system.
-
For higher performance and memory, the Thinvent Industrial PC IPC1 with AMD Ryzen 5 7530U goes up to 64 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD. It is a fanless industrial PC that runs Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT Value, Ubuntu Linux or Thinux™ Embedded Linux.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the Raspberry Pi Industrial Grade if you need an ARM edge gateway with two Ethernet ports and up to 8 GB RAM. Choose the Thinvent P Mini PC if you want a fanless ARM system with Thinux™ Embedded Linux preinstalled. Choose the Thinvent IPC1 with AMD Ryzen 5 7530U if you need more RAM, more storage or a Windows operating system.
