What Is a Small Fanless PC?
A small fanless PC is a compact computer that cools itself with a passive heatsink instead of a fan. The processor and other components transfer heat through the metal chassis, which acts as the cooling surface. Because there are no moving fans, the system has no fan bearings to wear out and draws in no dust. This design suits environments where dust, humidity, vibration or noise would affect a standard PC.
The Thinvent IPC3 is a fanless industrial PC built on the Intel® Core™ i3-1215U processor. The processor has 6 cores, runs up to 4.4 GHz and has a 10 MB cache. Each unit includes 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD. It runs on a 12V 10A power adapter.
