Ubuntu's requirements depend on the release and the use case. The facts available for this page describe the requirements for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. Ubuntu Desktop 24.04 LTS is the release the hardware guide covers. The minimum requirements are an x86-64 processor, RAM, storage and a display. Recommended configurations for desktop use need more RAM and storage than the minimum. Users can check hardware compatibility before they install Ubuntu on their own computers.

The Thinvent range does not include a model with a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 or i9 processor. It includes Intel Core i3, i7 and Celeron processors, and AMD Ryzen 5 processors.
