Can UltraViewer Run on Ubuntu?
UltraViewer does not have a native Linux version. The vendor's own guidance states that UltraViewer for Linux is not officially supported and that the software is designed primarily for Windows. Ubuntu users who need UltraViewer have two routes: run a Windows virtual machine with VirtualBox or VMware, or use a remote desktop tool that runs natively on Linux. Wine with Winetricks is not a recommended route for this kind of remote access software.
Running a Windows Virtual Machine on Ubuntu
A Windows virtual machine gives UltraViewer its intended environment. Install VirtualBox or VMware on Ubuntu, create a Windows guest, and install UltraViewer inside it. This method runs without the compatibility problems that come from emulation layers. It needs enough RAM and storage for both Ubuntu and the guest operating system, so memory capacity matters. Remote Desktop Options That Run Natively on Ubuntu
