Which Thinvent Devices Support Windows IoT?
Windows IoT is Microsoft's family of operating systems for embedded systems. It was formerly known as Windows Embedded and stands for Windows Internet of Things. Microsoft has sub-families for small-footprint, real-time devices and for point-of-sale devices such as kiosks.
The Windows IoT Enterprise edition has optional minimum requirements for device makers building a specialized, appliance-like device. Some of these requirements, such as a lower storage requirement, need extra monitoring through the device lifecycle, so storage is not fully consumed.
Windows IoT runs on hardware that is class-compliant with supported devices. Driver compatibility depends on the component vendor and the target architecture. Check the supported driver list for the specific processor and peripheral before deployment.
