Microsoft maintains an official list of processors that meet the compatibility requirements for Windows 11. A CPU must generally be a 64-bit processor with at least 1 GHz clock speed, 2 or more cores, and support for TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, and specific security features. For Intel, the supported families begin with 8th-generation Core processors and include later generations such as 10th, 12th, 13th and 14th generation Core chips, plus the Intel N-series and Celeron processors built on modern architectures.
