Windows 7 on Industrial PCs: What the Facts Show
Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate for Embedded Systems are embedded versions of the Windows 7 desktop operating system. They are sold for fixed-function and dedicated systems. Windows Embedded Standard 7 is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions and supports multi-core processors and multi-threading.
Support for Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1 ends on 13 October 2020. After that date, there is no technical support and no software updates through Windows Update. Microsoft recommends migrating to Windows 10 before those dates. Because of this, buyers who need Windows 7 should plan for the risk of running an unsupported operating system.
Thinvent Range for Industrial Use

The IPC5 is available with the Intel Core i5-1240P, the Intel Core i7-1255U, or the Core i5-1240P with 32GB RAM and Dual Band WiFi. The IPC3 uses the Intel Core i3-1215U and runs Ubuntu Linux. These models have 8GB to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB to 1TB of SSD storage, with a 12V 7A adapter.

Choosing a Platform
If your application needs Windows software, choose an IPC5 or Aero Mini PC with Windows 11. If your application runs on Linux, choose the IPC3, the IPC5 with Ubuntu Linux, or the Treo Mini PC. For a low-power, network-connected terminal, the Micro 5R Thin Client is the smallest option in the range.
