What Is a 10th Gen PC?
A "10th gen PC" is a computer built around Intel's 10th Generation Core™ processor family, codenamed Comet Lake. Launched around 2019–2020, these chips use the 14 nm process and are the last major generation before Intel's move to hybrid architecture with 11th and 12th Gen parts. Because they have been in volume production for years, 10th Gen platforms have mature driver support, well-tested firmware, and long-term availability — three things that matter enormously in industrial and commercial deployments where a machine might stay in service for five to ten years.
