Reliable Computing for Business and Industry
Thinvent builds compact, fanless computers designed for continuous operation in offices, factories, retail counters, kiosks, laboratories and control rooms. The range spans Mini PCs, Thin Clients, All-in-One PCs and Industrial PCs — all engineered around the same principle: solid-state, sealed cooling with no moving parts, so dust, heat and vibration do not shorten the working life of the machine.
If a specific model number or configuration you searched for is not shown, use the filters and specifications on this page to narrow the range, or contact us for a build matched to your requirement.
Choosing the Right Form Factor
Every deployment has a different physical constraint, so Thinvent offers four main shapes:
| Form Factor | Typical Placement | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Mini PC | Desk, shelf, VESA mount | Office productivity, POS, digital signage, thin-client sessions |
| Thin Client | Desk, wall mount | Virtual desktop (VDI), ERP and billing terminals, shared workstations |
| All-in-One PC | Counter, reception, shop floor | Space-constrained front desks, kiosks, information points |
| Industrial PC | DIN rail, panel, cabinet | Machine control, SCADA, data logging, edge gateways |
Processors and Performance Tiers
Thinvent systems are built on Intel® processors, covering entry-level Celeron and N-series chips for everyday desktop and terminal work, through to Core™ i3, i5 and i7 platforms for heavier multitasking, analytics and virtualisation. Memory options start at 4 GB for single-application terminals and scale to 64 GB for workloads that need headroom, while solid-state storage from 128 GB to 1 TB keeps boot times short and eliminates the mechanical failure modes of spinning disks.
Because the enclosures are fanless, there is no intake to clog and no filter to service. Systems are typically rated for wide operating temperatures and can run from 12 V or 19 V DC supplies, which makes them straightforward to integrate into vehicles, kiosks and control cabinets.
Connectivity and Operating Systems
Standard connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, often with dual ports for network separation or failover, HDMI outputs for single or dual displays, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for peripherals and USB-C where the platform supports it. Wireless options are available on request — some deployments deliberately ship without Wi-Fi for security reasons, which is why you will see "No WiFi" configurations in the lineup.
Operating system choices include Microsoft Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 IoT for mainstream business software, Ubuntu Linux 24.04 LTS for open-source stacks, Thinvent's Thinux™ embedded Linux for appliance-style deployments, and FreeDOS or no-OS options for customers who image their own systems.
Common Applications
Typical deployments include point-of-sale and billing counters, hospital and clinic workstations, school and training-lab terminals, CCTV and access-control front ends, factory HMI and SCADA nodes, warehouse and
