What Is DDR Memory?

DDR SDRAM is double data rate synchronous dynamic random-access memory. It is a type of SDRAM widely used in computers and other electronic devices. The first DDR standard was introduced in 2000. It was followed by DDR2, DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5. Each generation is a separate JEDEC standard that raises bandwidth, lowers voltage and increases module capacity.

Intel Core i9 and DDR Memory

The Thinvent range does not include an Intel Core i9 processor. The processors in the range are Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and Core 5, plus Intel Celeron N5095A, AMD Ryzen 5 7430U and ARM Cortex A53. Intel Core i9 is not a DDR memory type. It is a processor, and the memory it works with is set by the system design.

Key Memory Specifications in the Thinvent Range

The memory in the Thinvent range is DDR4. Capacity ranges from 4 GB to 32 GB across the products:

Product Processor Memory Storage
Industrial PC IPC5 Intel Core i5-1240P 16 GB DDR4 512 GB SSD
Industrial PC IPC5 Intel Core i5-1240P 32 GB DDR4 1 TB SSD
Aero Mini PC Intel Core i3-1215U 8 GB DDR4 256 GB SSD
Industrial PC IPC3 Intel Core i3-1215U 8 GB DDR4 256 GB SSD
Industrial PC IPC5 Intel Core i7-1255U 16 GB DDR4 512 GB SSD
Industrial PC IPC5 Intel Core i7-1255U 32 GB DDR4 1 TB SSD
Aero Mini PC Intel Core 5 120U 16 GB DDR4 512 GB SSD
Treo Mini PC Intel N5095A 4 GB DDR4 128 GB SSD
Treo Mini PC AMD Ryzen 5 7430U 16 GB DDR4 512 GB SSD

Use Cases

DDR4 memory suits industrial control, digital signage, kiosks, office workstations and general computing. Higher capacity suits multitasking and data-heavy workloads. Lower capacity suits basic office tasks and thin client roles.

Thinvent Products with DDR4 Memory

Thinvent has DDR4 systems across its Industrial PC, Aero Mini PC and Treo Mini PC ranges. Choose a configuration by processor, memory capacity and storage to match your workload.
