Latest Desktop Computers: What Is Available
The latest desktop computers are compact systems built on current Intel and AMD processors. Thinvent has mini PCs, industrial PCs, a panel PC and a thin client. Buyers choose a system by processor, memory, storage and operating system.
Thinvent mini PCs such as the Aero Mini PC and the Treo Mini PC use 12th and 14th generation Intel Core processors, and the Treo Mini PC also uses an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U. Memory ranges from 8 GB to 16 GB DDR4, and storage is a 256 GB or 512 GB SSD. Each mini PC is supplied with a 12V or 19V power adapter and runs Windows 11 Pro.
Thinvent industrial PCs use the IPC5 and IPC3 models. The IPC5 is available with an Intel Core i5-1240P, an Intel Core i7-1255U, or an Intel Core i7-1255U with 64 GB of memory. Options include dual LAN, dual band WiFi, and Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT Value or Ubuntu Linux. The IPC3 uses an Intel Core i3-1215U with 8 GB of memory and Ubuntu Linux.
The 15-inch Industrial Panel PC combines a 15-inch screen with an Intel Core i5-1335U, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB SSD, dual band WiFi and Windows 11 Pro.

Choosing a Desktop Computer
For general office and business work, a mini PC with a 12th or 14th generation Intel Core i5 or i3, 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD covers the most common needs. For heavier multitasking, choose a model with 10 or 12 cores and 16 GB or more of memory. For factory floors, kiosks and control rooms, the IPC5 and IPC3 industrial PCs and the 15-inch panel PC suit continuous operation. For centralized desktops, the Micro 5R thin client runs Thinux embedded Linux with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth.
Thinvent's range does not include Intel Core Ultra processors. The newest processors in the range are the Intel Core 5 120U (14th generation) and the AMD Ryzen 5 7430U (7000 Series).
