What Is a Mini PC?
A mini PC (short for "mini personal computer," or ordenador mini in Spanish) is a complete desktop-class computer built into a very small chassis — typically a fraction of the size of a tower desktop, often measuring just a few centimetres tall and weighing under a kilogram. Despite the compact footprint, a modern mini PC contains the same essential components as a full-size desktop: a processor, memory, storage, graphics, networking and USB ports. The difference is integration. Where a tower spreads components across expansion slots and bays, a mini PC uses low-power mobile-class silicon and soldered or SO-DIMM memory to shrink everything onto a tiny mainboard.
The reason mini PCs have become so capable is the shift in processor design.
