Rgb

What RGB Means

RGB stands for red, green, and blue. It is an additive color model. It reproduces a broad range of colors by combining different intensities of red, green, and blue light. Each pixel on a display uses these three light sources to show a color.

How RGB Is Used

RGB is the basis for color output on many display devices. These include cathode-ray tube (CRT), liquid-crystal display (LCD), plasma, and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screens. Computer monitors, televisions, large-scale screens, and mobile phone displays all use RGB.

RGB in Computer Hardware

RGB also refers to lighting on computer components and peripherals. Many fans, coolers, and peripherals include RGB lighting. Controllers can set the color, brightness, and effect of connected devices. PC builders and gamers often use RGB lighting to customize the look of a system.

The Thinvent® Industrial PC IPC5, Thinvent® Aero Mini PC (Intel® Core™ 5 120U), and Thinvent® Treo Mini PC (Intel® N100) are examples of products in the range. Each of them connects to a display to show RGB color output.
