Samsung Mini Computer - Mini PCs with Intel, AMD and ARM Processors

What Is a Mini PC?

A mini PC is a compact desktop computer. It has a full operating system, storage, memory and video output in a small chassis. Mini PCs are used where space is limited, where power use must stay low, or where a computer must sit behind a monitor, on a wall, or inside equipment. Thinvent mini PCs range from low-power Intel Celeron systems to Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen systems with up to 16 GB of memory.

Key Specifications

Thinvent mini PCs use processors from Intel, AMD and ARM. Core counts range from 4 to 12, and maximum clock speeds range from 1.9 GHz to 5.0 GHz. Memory options are 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB, using DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. Storage is 32 GB eMMC on the ARM model, and 128 GB to 512 GB SSD on the x86 models. Power adapters are rated 5V, 12V or 19V. Wireless options include Dual Band WiFi and Dual Antenna WiFi. Some models include Dual LAN. Operating systems are Windows 11 Pro, Ubuntu Linux, or Thinux Embedded Linux.

Use Cases

Intel Core processors suit office work, data entry, point-of-sale and kiosk systems, and light multitasking. AMD Ryzen 5 systems suit business applications that need more memory and graphics performance. The Intel N5095A Celeron model suits basic terminal and display tasks where low power draw matters. The ARM Cortex A55 model suits embedded and industrial control, digital signage and IoT gateways. Ubuntu Linux is available on several models for developers, server tasks and Linux-based applications.

Choosing a Mini PC

Select the processor first, based on the workload. Choose 8 GB or more of memory for multitasking and office suites. Choose 16 GB for virtual machines and heavier applications. Check the wireless option: some models have no WiFi, so add a network card or use a wired LAN connection. Check the operating system, since Windows 11 Pro and Linux are not interchangeable. Confirm the power adapter voltage before purchase.

Thinvent Mini PCs

Thinvent has mini PCs in the Aero, Treo and Micro 6 Pro families. The Aero series uses Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and Core Ultra processors. The Treo series uses Intel Celeron and AMD Ryzen 5 processors. The Micro 6 Pro uses an ARM Cortex A55 processor with Thinux Embedded Linux. Each model is listed with its processor, memory, storage and operating system so buyers can match a system to the task.
