A thin client is a compact computer that runs applications and desktops from a central server or cloud service. Most of the processing happens on the server, so the thin client needs only a small processor, modest memory and simple storage. Thinvent thin clients are sold online and are available with an ARM or an Intel processor, with several operating system options.
Key Specifications
The Thinvent range includes two processor families:
-
Thinvent Micro 5R Thin Client: ARM Cortex A53 processor with 4 cores, up to 2.0 GHz, 2 GB onboard RAM, 16 GB eMMC storage, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. It runs Thinux embedded Linux and has one HDMI 2.0 output and one speaker output.
-
Thinvent Neo S Thin Client: Intel Celeron J1900 processor (7th generation) with 4 cores, up to 2.4 GHz and 2 MB cache. It has 4 GB or 8 GB DDR3 RAM and 32 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB SSD storage, depending on the configuration. It has no WiFi.
