Thin Client Suppliers - Thin Clients: ARM and Intel Models for Business

What Is a Thin Client Supplier?

A thin client supplier manufactures and sells compact computers that run applications and desktops from a central server. Thinvent manufactures thin clients for business, education and kiosk deployments. The range includes two platforms: ARM-based and Intel-based models.

Thin clients store little or no data locally. The device connects to a remote desktop or virtual desktop server, which runs the software. This approach simplifies device management, reduces hardware upkeep, and keeps data on the server.

Thinvent Thin Client Range

The sample range contains two platform families:

  • Thinvent Micro 5R: ARM Cortex A53 processor, 4 cores, up to 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC storage, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth, Thinux embedded Linux, HDMI 2.0 and speaker output.

  • Thinvent Neo S: Intel Celeron J1900 processor (7th generation), 4 cores, up to 2.4 GHz, 2 MB cache, 4 GB or 8 GB DDR3 RAM, 32 GB or 128 GB or 256 GB SSD storage. No WiFi.

Choosing a Model

The Micro 5R suits deployments that need wireless connectivity and a low-power device. The Neo S suits deployments that need Windows 11 Pro, more memory, or larger local storage. Operating system options on the Neo S let buyers match the device to existing software.
