Thin Clients for Monitor Setups
A thin client is a small computer that runs applications and sends the display to a monitor. Connect a monitor to the thin client's display output, and it works as a desktop workstation. Thin clients do not need a large tower, and they use less power than a full desktop PC.
The Thinvent range includes two processor families for monitor setups. The Thinvent Micro 5R uses an ARM Cortex A53 processor with 4 cores running up to 2.0 GHz. It has 2 GB of onboard RAM, 16 GB of eMMC storage, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, and one HDMI 2.0 output. It runs Thinux embedded Linux. The Thinvent Neo S uses an Intel Celeron J1900 processor with 4 cores running up to 2.4 GHz and a 2 MB cache. It has 4 GB or 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and SSD storage from 32 GB to 256 GB. It has no WiFi.
