How to Make an RDP Connection
Remmina is a remote desktop client designed for system administrators who work with many remote computers. It supports multiple network protocols through a single, consistent interface. It currently supports RDP, VNC, XDMCP, SSH, NX and SFTP.
Steps to access remote desktops:
- To set up Remmina, first select the icon with a blank page and a plus sign to create a new remote desktop profile.
-
Give the new connection a name and select the protocol you will use: RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), SSH (Secure Shell), VNC (Virtual Network Computing), VNC (Incoming Connection) or XDMCP (X Display Manager Control Protocol).
-
Enter the username, password and domain of the machine you want to connect to. You can also change the screen resolution and color depth here. Adjust these parameters to achieve the desired performance.
