What is intelligent connectivity?
Intelligent connectivity is the use of networked devices that connect to wired and wireless networks, run software locally or remotely, and manage data and access from a central point. In industrial, retail, digital signage and office settings, these devices link displays, sensors, peripherals and cloud or on-premises servers. Connectivity features such as dual-antenna WiFi, WiFi 6, Bluetooth and multiple display outputs determine how well a device fits into such a network.
Key specifications
The Thinvent range of intelligent connectivity devices is built on ARM processors. Two processor platforms are offered:

ARM Cortex A55 (Micro 6 Pro Mini PC): 4 cores, up to 1.9 GHz, 1 MB cache, 4 GB onboard RAM, 32 GB eMMC storage, one HDMI output, dual-antenna WiFi.

ARM Cortex A53 (Micro 5R Thin Client): 4 cores, up to 2.0 GHz, 2 GB onboard RAM, 16 GB eMMC storage, one HDMI 2.0 output, speaker output, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth.
Both platforms run Thinux, an embedded Linux operating system.

Use cases
The Micro 6 Pro Mini PC suits edge computing, kiosks and control tasks that need more memory and storage. The Micro 5R Thin Client suits connected displays, signage, and access to remote desktops or applications, with WiFi 6, Bluetooth and speaker output built in. A VGA adapter cable and a VESA mount are available for the Micro 6 Pro and the Micro 5R. A keyboard and mouse set is available for both.
