The NVIDIA Jetson Nano is an ARM-based system-on-module with a quad-core Cortex-A57 processor, up to 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory, 16 GB of eMMC storage and one Gigabit Ethernet port. Its data sheet lists two display controllers. Thinvent's closest alternative is the Thinvent Micro 6 Pro Mini PC, which also uses an ARM Cortex-A55 processor (Amlogic S905X3) with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, in a fanless mini PC housing that ships with Thinux™ Embedded Linux.

Key differences
-
The Thinvent Micro 6 Pro uses the same ARM Cortex-A55 processor family as the Jetson Nano's ARM core, in a complete mini PC with its own housing, power supply and ports.
-
The Thinvent Micro 6 Pro has a 32 GB eMMC store, which is twice the 16 GB the Jetson Nano's data sheet lists.
-
The Thinvent Aero Mini PC has up to 8 GB RAM, which is double the 4 GB maximum on the Jetson Nano, and a 128 GB SSD.
-
The Thinvent Aero Mini PC has 1000 Mbps Ethernet, against the 1 Gbps port on the Jetson Nano, and it supports Windows 11 Pro, Ubuntu Linux and Thinux™ Embedded Linux.
-
The Jetson Nano is a bare module that connects to a carrier board, so it suits designs that already use that form factor. The Thinvent products are complete units that connect directly to a display, network and power source.
-
The Jetson Nano's data sheet lists two display controllers that drive up to 4K output, while the Thinvent Micro 6 Pro has one HDMI port.
-
The Jetson Nano has a 128-core Maxwell GPU for graphics and video workloads, which the Thinvent Micro 6 Pro does not include.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the Thinvent Micro 6 Pro if you want a fanless ARM mini PC with Linux, a 32 GB store and a ready-made housing. Choose the Thinvent Aero Mini PC if you need more RAM, faster Ethernet or a Windows 11 Pro option in a mini PC. Choose the NVIDIA Jetson Nano if your design needs its GPU and it fits a carrier board.
