What Is PCoIP?
PCoIP (PC-over-IP) is a remote display protocol developed by Teradici. It sends a user's desktop from a host computer to a client device over a standard network. The protocol is used in virtual desktop and remote workstation deployments.
Teradici has a PCoIP Software Client. It is a software implementation of the PCoIP protocol, so client devices do not need dedicated hardware to connect. Select OEMs include this software client in their thin clients for both x86 and ARM processors. The PCoIP Software Client for Windows is installed by an administrator on the client machine. Before installation, any existing Software Client for Windows applications must be closed.
Key Technical Considerations
PCoIP runs on the client device, so the processor, memory and operating system of that device determine how the session performs. A client needs a supported operating system and a network connection that meets the PCoIP Software Client requirements listed in the Teradici guide. Dell's ThinOS package for PCoIP covers its own thin client models, which is a separate platform from the Thinvent range.

The Thinvent products on this page are industrial PCs, mini PCs and a thin client. The Thinvent range does not state PCoIP support in its listed features. Customers who need PCoIP should confirm client software support with Thinvent before purchase.
