What Are Windows IoT Devices?
Windows IoT Enterprise is a version of Windows built for devices that run one specialized task, such as kiosks, digital signage, industrial controllers and point-of-sale terminals. Device makers can use the optional minimum system requirements published by Microsoft to build an appliance-like device with a curated experience. Microsoft notes that some of these optional minimums, such as a lower storage requirement, need extra monitoring so that storage does not fill up over the life of the device.
Processor and Hardware Requirements
Devices that run Windows IoT Enterprise must meet the processor requirements that Microsoft lists. Microsoft publishes the processor generations and models that are supported for each Windows IoT Enterprise edition. These specifications cover processor requirements only. They do not cover compatibility or certification for devices, and they do not give implementation guidance for the user experience.
Thinvent Aero Mini PCs for Windows IoT Use
Thinvent Aero Mini PCs use the Intel Processor N100. This processor has 4 cores, a maximum frequency of 3.4 GHz and 6 MB of cache. Each Aero Mini PC has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 128 GB SSD. The units run Windows 11 Pro.

The Thinvent range does not include processors other than the Intel N100 on this page. All Aero Mini PCs on this page use the same processor and memory configuration. Buyers choose the networking, power adapter and keyboard and mouse options.
Choosing a Configuration
Choose the wireless option that matches the network at the installation site. Choose the power adapter that matches the power budget of the deployment. Add the keyboard and mouse set if the device needs local input during setup or operation.
